a 3-piece rock band from Wilmington, Delaware. Uniting in 2016, the outfit consists of Grace Koon, songwriter, singer, and guitarist, Brian Bartling, bassist, and Dave McGrory,drummer and singer. They combine elements of shoegaze, post-punk, and psych with a sharp pop sensibility. Some influences include The Buzzcocks, Wire, Pixies and XTC.

 

  The band toured throughout the US, showcased at SXSW, recorded an Audiotree live session, and were featured on NPR, Pitchfork, Brooklyn Vegan and more following the release of their self-recorded first full-length album, Reveries (2018 Egghunt Records). After recording at Headroom Studios, Grace Vonderkuhn went on to release their sophomore album, Pleasure Pain, on Philly-based record label Sheer Luck Records in 2021. Persisting through the pandemic, they continued to play live in Philadelphia and beyond, sharing their frenetic show energy on giant stages and in basements alike.   

 

  In 2022, Grace Vonderkuhn was invited by the Philadelphia radio station WXPN to perform at NonCOMM, an independent radio station convention held in Philadelphia, PA. Father John Misty, Geese, and Sharon Van Etten headlined. Later that year, the band was also awarded “Best Band” and “Best Single” by the Delaware radio station WSTW. Grace Vonderkuhn has shared the stage with countless acts including Wunderhorse, Sheer Mag, Camp Cope, Shame, Ought, Titus Andronicus, Lower Dens, No Age, and The Districts. Their third album "Into the Morning" is out now.
